These poster recreations of the movie Kill Bill were made for the County Theater in Doylestown, Pennsylvania along with a small collection of other posters as part of a nonfunded project.

While designing these posters, I wanted to experiment with making different elements the main subjects to see which one looks better to showcase at the theater. Those elements are the sword the protagonist (Beatrix Kiddo) uses in the film and the symbol associated with a legendary swordmaker (Hattori Hanzo). In the first poster, I focused more on making the sword stand out while the symbol being more subtle, and having the opposite approach in the second poster. Other small differences between the two posters include slight color hues, fonts, and text placement.

The artwork on the front cover illustrates the likely effects of an illegal drug in the story known as DreamScape. The story created by Amanda W. Stone, follows Mallory, an information systems analyst and part-time P.I., who is tasked with finding the one who is responsible for killing a diplomat on Ganymede Station. Her only witness is a young woman who’s recently escaped from a cult that worships information as a living god, and she’s too afraid to talk. As the investigation unravels, Mallory finds the cult is more powerful than they seem, and there are forces at play that threaten not only Ganymede Station but pose an existential threat to humankind.
