Tossed Pies Homestyle Pizzeria

Tossed Pies Homestyle Pizzeria is a concept of a fictional local pizza joint in Philadelphia that serves mostly traditional-style pizza in a cozy environment with a mostly modern aesthetic. This project includes three styles of brand marks, package design, physical menu, and the UI for the mobile app.

As far as I know, I’ve dined in many pizza restaurants throughout my life and have enjoyed my experiences in them. So coming up with a fictional pizzeria as my restaurant concept of choice made sense because it felt the most familiar. It was a little tricky at first to decide on which theme to work with since there are so many different ones available for the existing pizzerias today, in the end, I decided to go for a more modern theme with some cartoon-style elements. I wanted it to feel comfortable for both the older community and the younger audience, so my main focus was to apply this idea with the logo, designing it to feel both minimalistic with the simple silhouette of the pizza dough mixed with the hand-drawn lines of the dough, text box, and typeface.
